Questions

Firstly I want to mention how my briefs are going:

01: Architects Brief hasn't moved forward much because of last weeks fashion yearbook / context interviews. This week i.e from tomorrow i will be finishing the identity, website and lookbook + any other promotion materials.

02: The Eddisons brief i'm dropping because of the lack of time i have left.

03: The GMB publication I get the rest of the information at some point today. This project will probably take four day and involve loads of layout development. The aim is to get it printed at lulu but that can only be achieved if i can get it sent on Friday.

04: Fashion Year Book is almost finished. Will be sent tomorrow and all we need to do is some promotional materials.

05: ISTD brief is done. All I need to do is the boards however it still hasn't been blogged.

06: End of year show. Completed

07: Design Context: 36 Emails have been sent and 7 replies have been received. Hopefully more will come in soon. I have designed the publication to hold 10 designer interviews minimum. Loads of secondary research has been done as shown on this blog. All i'm doing now adjusting elements of the publications layout and i still need to do a cover.



The questions are all going to be on the context brief.

01: The concept is simplicity with the focus on functionality. The publication is going to be of a A3 format with the layout being very precise and open. The publication inspiration comes from baseline magazine and i'm planning on doing a poster design that will wrap around it. The issue i am having is that i have just jumped into making a publication and not explored different methods of format. Because of this i feel that the concept of simplicity might be hindered. Have you got any opinions of what I should do.

02: The organisation of the publication has 6 master pages with 1 master page that appears ever other 12 pages. Does the page organisation seem repetitive ? I also think that i should move away from having the same top margin layout. What do you think ?

03: can you see any other issues?

04: The type and layouts still need tweaking. That will happen once i have all my content.



Issues with the blog that i have seen.


1. I still need to blog my ISTD brief and architects identity.
2. I havent evaluated all my posts.
3 Theres no home link to the page.
4. Need more photo's of mock-ups.
5.More contextual research for each brief. Min of 10.
6. Need to evaluate the end of the brief. How things went etc.
7. Need to get cracking on with the other two briefs.
8. Need to post all the briefs and discuss the brief i have dropped.
